Arendalsuka: Hvorfor Norge skal bruke vår fornybare energi på datasentre
Fornybar energi er en knapp ressurs. Debatten om kraftpriser, krafteksport, kraftutbygging og hvem som skal få tilgang til norsk fornybar kraft har rast i flere år. Skal Norge prioritere batterifabrikker, elektrifisering av sokkelen, tradisjonell kraftkrevende industri, datasentre, eller skal først-til-mølla-prinsippet benyttes? Skal vi prioritere industrier som skaper flest arbeidsplasser når Norge mangler arbeidskraft? Er det verdiskaping per arbeidsplass eller per forbrukt gigawattime som skal avgjøre? Velkommen til kraftoppgjøret.
